Nick joined the company in May 2000 and brings over 10 years of experience working in the banking industry.

Prior to joining ComStock, Nick was a Vice President in the Structured Capital Lending Division for Firstar Bank in Cincinnati. Nick specialized in providing financing for leveraged acquisitions.

Nick provided financing for a variety of manufacturing and service firms in the following industries: consumer products, heavy equipment, specialty chemicals, optical components, electronic components, materials conversion, basic metals, environmental remediation, telecommunications, and government services.

A significant portion of the financing of these acquisitions was reliant on the company’s capacity to generate cash flow and the enterprise value resulting from that cash flow. Financing was also based on the value of revenue streams, intangible assets, and the feasibility of corporate finance alternatives based on the value of individual divisions, product lines, or the company as a whole.

In addition to his lending responsibilities, Nick also developed the division’s standard underwriting document and financial analysis program.

Prior to that, Nick acted as portfolio manager for Huntington Bank’s Cincinnati Asset-Based Lending Portfolio. In this capacity, Nick not only managed a portfolio of clients, but also the Cincinnati-based loan administration staff.

Nick began his career with Firstar’s Asset-Based Lending Division, conducting on-site examinations of borrowers’ financial records and valuing assets of those companies as collateral for highly leveraged loans.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
